![]() So, when I play a FLAC, my PS Audio DirectStream DAC shows in one case "PCM 48K 24 Bits" a Pulse Code Modulation format. For example, I was never sure and still not sure if the FLACs are just DSD in a wrapper or some manipulation of the bit stream on an SACD. I was never sure if the answers were specific to the issue or about the "native" aspects of these file types. Jeff, the ISO2DSD is wonderful and does just what I want it to.įWIW: When I did my research, most of the threads were dealing with some specific issue. Data rate (DSD) Standard (2.8MHz) or Double (5.6MHz) DoP on all inputs as well as raw DSD on I²S inputs, not including the built in Bridge II (Ethernet) If you are curious about the PS Audio DAC, check out the amazing specs here: DirectStream Junior Q6: Which of the three above gets me what I want, the highest quality 2 channel transcription? I found a good YouTube vid showing me how to transcribe from SACD ISO using Foobar but I don't understand if does what I want (highest quality), and leaves me with a few questions following about the tools output options: Q 2: Is this native 2 channel format directly transcribable to individual track files? Q 1: What is the native(?) resolution of stereo files on an SACD? I am only interested in 2 channel stereo. Again, I don't care if the final format is FLAC or WAV or whatever, I am only interested in the highest quality possible. I would like to convert an SACD ISO to the highest quality stereo files possible, I am not interested in lossy formats. I use Foobar and have a PS Audio DirectStream Junior DAC that can play any format khz and or bit depth (seriously, a wonderful DAC, see below). I did quite a bit of web research but am still confused.
